Our 3 weeks with mum and dad in Dubai have absolutely flown by and today, after a 7 hour flight and a nice little seat upgrade, we arrived in Bangkok, Thailand for the start of our time in South-East Asia.

We are staying at the Rembrandt where we got a fantastic deal and seem to be in the heart of everything. They also think we are on our honeymoon, hence the picture, fruit and welcome drink!

When we got to the hotel we dumped our bags and headed out to find some food. We ended up in a great outdoor place down a back alley where the food was delicious and with a beer each the total came to just over £9. After dinner we headed down the Main Street to a night market and had a wonder through the stalls which sold everything from tacky tourist t-shirts, knock off DVDs and sunglasses to sex toys and unpackaged medicines. Quite the experience! Sarah also saw her first ladyboy which she got quite excited about!

Tomorrow the plan is to head to a few of the bigger temples and then some markets. When it gets to hot we are going to come back to the hotel for a swim in the pool before heading out for food and drink! The humidity is unbelievable so wish us luck!
