Today, I heard from Richie and Luke and they told me that they were definitely going to go and sort out this big house that we had planned to rent out between us. The only problem now was, that because I had come in to Thailand via the bus from Cambodia and they had flown in, I had a 15 day visa and they had a 30 day visa. So I had a chat with Steve and Sarah as I knew that they had had the same problem and extended their visa for a few days.

Steve and Sarah told me that they had gone to the immigration office and paid 1900 Baht (around £38) for a 7 day extension. They filled me in on what I should do, so I grabbed a moto (moped taxi) and headed down to the immigration office.

I first met up with some Immigration officers which were Australian and told me what to do and that I needed a photo copy of my passport and 2 passport photos, so they sent me over to a shop that did both, which also cost me some more money, but not much. Once I had these I headed back over to the immigration office and the immigration officers filled in the relevant forms for me and all I had to do was to pay the money and wait 15 mins, and then I had a 7 day extension to my visa until 10th August.

All I need now is for Richie and Luke to get their arses in gear and get this house sorted out so that my extension has been worthwhile.

One the way back from the immigration office I decided to head over to the On On Hotel which was Phuket's first hotel and was also the flophouse featured in the filming of The Beach which was supposed to be on Khao San Road, Bangkok. My first touristy activity for ages and I must confess, probably the first time I have seen midday and maybe even proper daylight/sunshine for a while too!!! Maybe I should have just let my visa expire and leave as it would probably give my liver a well deserved rest!!! Nah....where’s the fun in that?

After all that that thinking about leaving and giving my liver a rest, you’ll never guess what I got up to when I got back to the hostel in the evening and bumped in to Steve, Sarah, Richard and Raymond??? See pictures and videos as they are pretty self explanatory J
