At least when I got home this morning from Phuket with Steve and Sarah at around 04:30 I was pleased to find that Raymond had not brought his lady of the night back to our dorm room and had checked out of the dorm and moved into a double room at the hostel.

I bumped into Raymond at around 14:00 today when he had just been out for lunch with his lady and then sent her packing. She had asked him for 2000 Baht (about £40) for his night of passion but he had refused to give it to her! He said to me that she should have paid him for the night of passion with a French man!!! I couldn't believe it! I asked him if he had even given her some money so that she could get the bus home, but he hadn’t but he said he did buy her some lunch.

We arranged to meet for some dinner and I managed to talk to him some more. I think that he was starting to fall in love with his lady. I told him that he shouldn’t go back to Patong just yet as she might have some big bodyguard that may force him to pay up. He didn’t seem concerned at all as he said that this was something different and not just sex. Yeah right!

After dinner we went to the bar next door to the hostel and met up with Raymond’s French friend Richard and another French guy but I never caught his name and also got to meet the dog from across the road called "Milo" who lived with the guy who was guarding the Thai Airways building for the night shift. Milo comes to the bar most nights to see the staff and customers but only sits out on the footpath, he doesn’t walk in.

While sitting in the bar I got a call from Richie and Luke who I had met in Siem Reap, Cambodia and had agreed to meet up again once they got to Phuket. They invited me over to Patong where they were staying to meet up and Raymond who was now missing his lady wanted to come too, disregarding the warnings that I had given him earlier. He just wanted to go and look for her so was drinking Coke tonight so that he was sober when they met again.

So round about 22:30 Raymond and I headed over to Patong for another night in this crazy place. First destination was to the group of bars where Raymond had met his lady last night. I grabbed a beer and Raymond had another Coke. We play some Connect4 and have a few drinks in different bars, but Raymond doesn’t find his lady.

I get another text message from Richie and Luke and they tell me that they are now in Hollywood’s Nightclub, so Raymond decides to give up looking for his lady and we go off to the nightclub to meet up with Richie and Luke.

I was surprised to see Luke was with another girlfriend, this time it was a Thai girl and yet only about a week ago he was saying goodbye to his Cambodian girlfriend in Siem reap. It was great to see the guys again and we talked about hiring a 4/5 bedroom house in Phuket so that we could all share one house rather than all of us paying to stay in hostels. This sounded like a great idea and would be a real laugh, so the guys said they were going to go and see an estate agent and would be in touch with the details.

Raymond and I eventually left Hollywood’s Nightclub around 4am and grabbed a tuk-tuk back to Phuket town and our hostel. He was staying in his double room again tonight so I had the dorm room all to myself.
