How excitement!! I can hardly contain myself!! It's so close to our departure day, that we can almost taste it... As a matter of fact, I think we've already left, and we're only physically still at work. I don't think we're contributing much, and probably driving everybody mad with our excited jitters and nerves. We had a brief discussion this morning about travelling times, needing to be off the road by 4pm each day if possible, (to avoid unfortunate encounters with kangaroos), early sunsets and panic about dinner etc, but nothing that resulted in blows or physical damage... Dylan has completely forgotten its his birthday in a week (as had I), but Jo reminded him last night at dinner, and he still only wanted to talk about how long till we left and how long we'd be gone... Jeremy is devastated he'll be away from his playstation and friends (in that order), and wasn't at all impressed when I pointed out how much time we'd have to spend together as a family. Teenagerness isn't that far away, and I don't think there'd be too many more years where we'd be able to do this, easily anyway... The opportunities this trip presents are priceless, but I'm sure there'll be challenges along the way as well. Hopefully, the memories we create will last with all of us forever, and make the next holiday, or the next big road trip, all the more desireable. The planning required to turn this into a reality has been epic, and considerably costly, and it comes to fruition in only 3 very short sleeps... How excitement!!!
