We are all getting very excited now, it's only 10 days until our departure, and the packing and organising has begun in ernest. The car is as ready as it will ever be, and the caravan is very nearly finished. We just need to pack stuff where it belongs, which won't be as easy as it seems, now that I've seen and heard what Jo wants to bring... (You couldn't fit that much stuff in a three bedroom house, let alone a 16 foot caravan!!) Why do we need to take a bread oven? They have bakeries for that... I might just need to 'forget' to pack some of it!?!
We think it's going to be colder than we originally expected, and we've made some modifications to the clothing list. More jumpers, gloves, beanies and neck warmers have been added, and some of the summer shorts and shirts removed. We can pick these up on the way around if we need them again. The boys don't care though, they'd wear the same set every day if it was up to them. Dylan asked if we'd be home in time for Christmas, and was concerned the GPS would forget the way home if we're away too long. His other concern was whether he could have Nutella sandwiches for lunch where we were going??? He was prepared to leave his toothbrush behind if it meant we could fit the Nutella in. I told him if he could convince mum we don't need the bread oven, then we could fit both the Nutella and his toothbrush in, and he's off now to do exactly that...
Packing (cramming) resumes tomorrow...
