FINALLY!.. i have reached a computer!.. i have been away from technology for the whole 4 day weekend and i felt out of touch with the world cucooned in my own lil sphere with our lil tour bus and my lil group of frends but im home now yayy!!!
okay so i had a terrific weekend and i really shudnt be complaining!. The whole of last week i agonised if i should focus on uni or just take some days off to travel.. guess which won?? travellin ofcourse!.. if u thought i would choose uni then u reaaaallly dont know me hehehe.. so this weekend i boguht myself a ticket on the 4day French Canada tour and boy was it worth it!
After leaving at the ungodly hour of 6.30am our first stop wwwaaaassss wait wait.. not Ottawa.. but TIME HORTONS.. (the starbux of canada..only better! n cheaper! n tastier! especially the cream cheese bagell hmmm.. focus!!) okay so when we were all well fed, we finally left to Ottawa and stayed there for the afternoon. Highlights of the trip was the tour of the Supreme Court which i must say was impressive.. the security was more intense than american customs which was a pain... but i guess i can understand that:) We also got some time to go to BYford markets which was a posh version of kensington markets (rfr 2 my blog frm last week) and the atmosphere there was pretty cool.. on the way back we got lost in some park and my biggest fearr was the bus leaving (its bin ages since i went with a tour bus so i kno people get really pissed off wen u dont return on time...) but we reached on time and started towards Montreaaall
Montreal, in quebec is soo french it scared me! everything, the billboards the people the shops everythin is in french.. its in english too but mainly in french.. pheww ok enough ranting.. we reached montreal at night and the place was amazing..busy streets and the shops were all still open so was pretty good. After having our awesome dinner of BURGER N FRIES we came home and started getting drunk prepping ourselves for Winston Churchill club later @ nite.. the club was amazing! suuuchhh guuud music but it was soooo hot in there. every person even the one u grind wit had sweat pourin of their body = total turn off hehe.. but was still fun.. the clubs are pretty tiny wit patios n plants n if u dint hear me the first time.. the musiccc was soo gudd.. next mornin we did the whole touristy thing and saw al der was to see namely NotreDame basilica, St Josephs Church, weird looking chinese statue and the shoppin district a.k.a St Catherines St. After spendin the whole day runnin around montreal in our hungover state we finally left for Quebec.. it was a very quiet bus ride ass everyone had passed out:)
When reaching quebec my first reaction was like are we in Europe?? quebec is europe in canada!.. the french culture is so intense here u can feel it in the air:).. after spending the evening roaming the streets , eating poutine, shopping and watching live entertainment we left for our hotel to get dressed for Chez Dagobert.. If i thought the club in montreal was amazing this one was off the roof.. 2 levels of house, techno, top 40, reggaeton.. hmm my sense of heaven AND it wasnt freakin 45 degrees in there! And after coming back to our hotel we also had a hotel party fun fun fun!.. the next morning we al had the hangover from hell but it was cured by a visit to a buffet breakfast restaurant where we all ate as if we had not seen food in ages! Following that was our tour of highlights of Quebec and exploring through old quebec city.. the lil streets with the cafes n live music was enchanting.. such a romantic place! especially wit the fall colours.. n the best thing was that i was havin a amazing hair day so every photo i took was good.. i luveedd it!!..later we went to Montmorency Falls (like niagara but less commercial).. to reach the top we had to climb like 500 steps which was NOT cool but the view was pretty worth it:) AND as if that was not enough at night we went to this nice restaurant opp to Chez dagobert and that was pretty gud too:)
Its Monday, and time to leave quebec:( i totally did not want to leave! but leave we must and we headed to thousand islands in rockport... yes the thousand island dressing is names after these islands.. i knew you were dying to ask me this question! After all the stuff we saw this was a bit of a anti climax but was still relatively nice! 2 most interesting things was the smallest bridge in the world which connects these 2 tiny islands ones on american waters n the other is on canadian waters.. it was so small we missed it 3 times before finally seeing it..even my driveway back home is longer!! and the other nice thing was this castle some king built for his wife and he cut the island in the shape of a heart.. was kinda sad that she dint get to see it bcz she died but i wudnt mind if he donates it to meee.. was amazing castle:)
After all this sightseein i was reallly tired and all i wanted was to reach the bus and sleep so i was pretty happy when the tour got over n we made our way to the bus...had a loooonng sleep so wen i reached home was totaly buzzin on account of the 2.5 coffees i had from tim hortons along the way so so i thought would write this blog before i forget everything...i feel like i have vomited all my feelings about this trip onto here so i guess its time to go to bed now..
night nite!
