My second week in Toronto and i attended 2 big parties... this partying during the week is great but i can feel it sucking the energy outa me.. note to self.. stop drinking! haha..
On Tuesday we went to a baseball game. I was pretty amped as baseball is not big in NZ or India but we sure did play softball in school and i was looking forward to it. My first view of the stadium left me being in awe.. it was soooo bigggg!! our seats were the cheap $13 ones and so we were pretty far off but it was a realy gud experience. Unfortuantely i cant say the same about the game because it is possible the most boring spectator game EVER!.. so v spent a majority of our time just taking photos, eating hot dogs, drinking beer and socialising... The afterparty was a bang though!.. it was held at our vice presidents condo... (which i must say is specctacuuulaarr) and everyone got royally drunk, made out wit random strangers.. i woke up next morning with heaps of numbers in my cell phones of people i dont really remember.. embarrasement! after the after party we also had an after after party at this cool bar called "Philthy Mcnastys". the pub name made me excited and it lived upto my expectations with cheap drinks and awesome kareoke.Kristy and me soulfully sang along to everysong they sang but the best one by far was the chinese guy singing "my heart will go on" in his accent and we all (50 of us) imitating him.. was funnnyyy!!
The next big party was the mexican party for which i spent the whole of friday morning hunting a suitable costume in this flee market called Kensington Market. After equippin myself with a poncho and a sobrero me and roomate explored the markets and endulged in empanadas (mexican puff pastry), went to the cheese shop and tried about 100gm of different cheeses, looked into the choc shop where we didnt try nething but salivated at everything on display and lastly ofcourse went to a shop specialising in materials needed for getting stoned.. the cooolest thing in the shop was the stoners edition of monopoly. The game had me suitably excited and for a long time i debated if i should buy it or not just cz it woudl have been such a awesome souvenir.. oh i forget.. we also went to a costume shop and tried on various dresses from the 60s, 80s as weel as the dodgy nurse costumes.. i cant wait for halloween!!!.. finally when we couldnt walk no more we came trudging back home ..wat a tiring day! and the party has not even started!
OKay coming back to the mexican party.. it was held in markham at our president matty's house.. and we all went there dressed up, armed with our alcohol bottles, screamin "aaaarrrrrribbbaaa" and playin our lil banjos.. the excitement in the bus was amazing!! Once there Mike's live band played for us and the rest of the night was a haze of socialising, pool, drinking and ofcourse dancing.. this time we ended up meetin MAtty's cool canadian friends and i had quite a few interestin convos the details of which i dont clearly remember hehe..what i DO remember is me going to the bathroom and my heel getting stuck in the floor vent.. i was in a total state of panic n am sure people outside were wondering what the big fuss was about.. it dint just happen once it happened the 3times i went to the bathroom.. wat awful luck!!
WE finally made it back home at 4am and all i had strength for was removing my shoes and fallin into bed.. a completely amazing week..
p.s. i feel guilty for not mentioning anything about uni so heres a lil bit..my courses are great but really demanding.. did not realise they were all 3rd year courses and how intense the workload will be.. but i am coping.. hopefully!..
