Much has happened in the past few days. We have flown down to the Lake District. Landed in Bariloche and picked up a hire car. Vist to Bariloche; not quite our scene, touristy i.e St Bernard dogs waiting to be photographed with visitors for a fee. Stocked up with provisions at Carrefour and drove the 90 km to Villa Traful. The last 35 km is gravel road and probably a stone caused the broken fuel line with we found the next day.
Met Willis's childhood friend Josie, her husband Victor and sixth child Nico [aged 15]. They had prepared a large asado on their parrillo [BBQ]. This was great as we were really tired having flown out early in the morning.
Next morning we discovered the broken fuel line. Willis waited for a new car; Gillian and David walked the 9 km to where we had agreed to meet Josie and family at their lakeside camp; there is no mobile reception. Great walk along the road by the lake. Greeted by pasta lunch and then an afternoon fishing in Victors speedboat. Weather wonderful and the views were amazing. Willis arrived at around 5 pm.
Last evening it was our turn to cook on the parrilla; which David did with a lot of help from Nico.
Today 29th December more walks are planned and another day with Josie and family by the lake.
