Had to wake up at 8 to put change in the meter for parking. We packed (and hoped we weren't overweight), and had our last European breakfast in the hotel lobby. While we were eating, the man at the table next to us asked us if we were Christians b/c he had heard us praying. It was so neat to meet some brothers and sisters, even while far away from home. We met him, his sons, and daughter-in-law - all from Brazil, and had a brief chat.
By the time we got our stuff packed into the car and checked out of the hotel, it was about 10. We headed back to the old market to spend our morning there, and went into the St. Bartholomew church, which was rebuilt after he war. The pamphlet we received spoke very much of reclaiming the church for the believers. We walked around the area, trying to find some lunch, but got stopped by some last minute souvenir shopping. Oh well.
We headed out to the airport at noon in order to check in (b/c there is no online check in option in Europe). We were a little stressed b/c we had seen the long Air Transat lines in Pearson airport, and we knew we had a little less than 3 hours until our flight at this point. Pete guessed which area in Terminal 2 to stop at, so I hopped off with our luggage while he went to return the rental car. Turned out, the car rental return was quick, and Pete met me before we checked in. Turned out, there was no line for check in either! We had about 2.5 hours until our flight, so we went through the appropriate securiy checks, and settled in for some airport pizza and Radlers (still very decent considering!), and with that, brought an end to our wonderful European adventure :)
