It was so sureal sitting opposite the sign that said ´Rio De Janeiro - BOARDING´ and knowing that it is my flight, what a feeling! I have been dreaming of travelling the world since I was 12 and at that moment at the age of 25 I started to realise that is was actually happening!

I am safe and sound in Rio now after a pretty smooth flight. Today we have been exploring some of the city and of course the beaches. Jadim Botanica was really cool with some crazy looking birds and Orchid´s, we went there with a group of Canadian girls (Chelsea, Leia and Carmen) who we me this morning at breakfast.

Planning on meeting up with some old Brazillian friend´s tonight for a "few" drinks (Brazillan´s know how to drink!) in Lapa.
