Howdy

We are off and running... Got to Kathmandu today after uneventful and somewhat boring flights. Singapore airport was awesome - we spent a few hours visiting all the special gardens and the butterfly house, and the shops. Then holed up in the Transit hotel for the night.

Kathmandu has a fabulous thunder and lightening display tonight. The city is much busier than I anticipated and very much like South America except the traffic is WORSE!!!! They are maniacs and have absolutely no roadrules except push yopur way in.

Made contact with our person at the Radisson hotel and like all Nepalese they were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The rest of our trip is now worked out and booked. By chance we also happened to meet the guide from our big trek, funny guy - should be great with him in charge.

Off to Chitwan tomorrow, you may hear from us there or you may not.
