I'm way up on the north coast now in a place called Lovina. With a name like that it has to be good, eh?
It's not too busy right now, like all of Bali. I got a room at a place with a pool. I don't think I've ever had a fancy place like that in my backpacking travels yet! It was double the price of the pool-less room, but still only $8, so I figured why not go wild and splurge! Ha! Oh, it even includes breakfast, which is really good.
Today I rented a motorbike again and went out to this natural hot spring. It was so awesome. Full of Balinese people. The water comes into the pools via the mouths of a row of dragons. Nice!
Anyhow, after that I rode up high, high to Munduk, a little village in the mountains, and got caught in a huge downpour... it is the rainy season, so I've been lucky to avoid the rain thus far. Anyhow, once I got down low near the coast it was nice and dry and warm again. Didn't even rain down here!
Anyhow, off for a swim in the very warm ocean and then into the fancy pool for some laps, then food!
