A long day travelling awaited us. We went on the local bus. We wandered down to the taxi stop at about 10:30 and took a taxi to dharmsala where we were catching the bus.
We thought the bus was leaving at 12 but the actual time was 12:30, so we had a longer time to wait. Eventually the bus came and we sat down on separate seats. That soon changed after we left when the bus filled up in an instant, I went and sat next to Shervin.
Unfortunately Shervin was feeling slightly I'll so for him the journey was more tortuous for him than me. Mind you, he was sat next to the window and avoided the being leant upon, the whiffy armpit stuck in your face and being periodically being hit by a bag.
6 hours later we pulled into Dalhousie and we were swiftly guided to a hotel. The first choice did not have a proper shower so it was rejected for the second one. This is what the guy had originally wanted. All through the trip to the first hotel he, in his broken English said he would show us the Hotel Crags and if we didn't like it he would show us his hotel, The Aarti, which had TV and a shower. I am still amazed that most of the hotels I have stayed never provide sheets, just blankets and like our latest hotel a bedspread for an undersheet. Thank God for my silk sleeping bag.
Shervin still not well and I was feeling tired we had room service and just watched TV. A quiet night in.
