Journal brought to you by Sophie
Today was a very sad day as we were leaving the party place of Queenstown without the A team and without Jimmy. On the plus side Brian and Steve were still with us and I was also hopefully going to be reunited with my camera. Fingers crossed.
We stopped off at this gorgeous lake with a perfect view of the snow capped Mt Cook in the distance. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4490&l=84e8b&id=503796050I know I keep saying this but it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. There was also this other cool view over a pine forest which I had to go to the toilet in. It was very reminiscent of the Franz Josef situation but luckily no where near as mortifying.
We are staying in a cool little place called City Oasis, which is a little way out of town but still nice. We are in a room with three other guys and we have our own kitchen and bathroom. We cooked dinner and watched Shortland Street , which is basically the NZ version of Neighbours that no one seems to appreciate. I love it. I am having serious Neighbours withdrawals and I am devastated I am missing the most exciting episode ever on the 31st May. Mother you have it to look forward to. I would say record it but I am actually writing this on the 5th June so it has already gone. After that we trekked all the way to Base to pick up my camera from Jimmy. I have missed it soooo much and I am so glad to have it back so I can take lots of pictures of the same landscape that absolutely nobody would be interested in.
We did absolutely nothing today really, which isn't very exciting for you to read but it was a long travelling day and we didn't have time for much else. SORRY!
