Journal brought to you by Sophie
Today we arrived in the activity centre of New Zealand - a town known as Queenstown. The drive from Wanaka was fairly smooth and in mid afternoon we stopped off at the first ever bungee site in New Zealand so that some of the people on the bus could do one. Ricky and Dan were doing their first one ever and were absolutely terrified. Luckily we were all there to cheer them on and they were brilliant. Ricky is now addicted and has signed himself up to do two more! Crazy guy. I have decided not to do another one because obviously we did the World's highest but Tami is probably going to do one called the Ledge, which is 400m above Queenstown with a 47m drop. The difference is with this one is that you are attached at the waist and so you can do a running jump off it. It sounds very exciting.
When everyone had got their fill of adrenaline we drove on to the town where we had a quick team photo and then were dropped off at our respective hostels. We are in a room with Jamie and Mike plus some other people off another bus tour called French Guy (as he will now be known), a South African girl - think her name was Sarah, a Dutch guy (well I think he was Dutch) and an English chap. Can't remember his name either. They obciously made a really big impression on me... Jimmy (the bus driver) arranged us all to go out as it was technically our last night all together. Very sad. He said that we all had to wear hats out as the theme for the night so Harri, Lisa, James and George spent all night folding up paper in to hats that we could wear. I must say we looked absolutely fabulous darling! It was a brilliant night involving lots of crazy dancing and laughs. I won't go into detail. Before you ask Father it did involve the consumption of alcoholic beverages but I never get into a state as bad as you on a Friday night at the pub. Infact I don't get as bad as Mother either when she tackles the good old gin and tonic...Love you!
