Sophie And Tami Were Here
Monday 21st May
Journal entry brought to you by Tami (smooth)
Got up ridiculously early today at a time that should be illegal the morning after a night out to go and get my legs waxed. As always, it hurt.
Came back home and got back into bed.
Sophie and I met Steve, Brian and Ricky for a Fergburger at lunchtime as we'd heard they were good for food. This was an understatement. I have never had a burger like it! Obviously Sophie and I are limited in options being vegetarian (as is Steve), but, these burgers were amazing. Seriously. YUM. Ricky and I then headed up to the gondala as we had a bungy jump booked for 6. I was really glad he was there, I thought I was going to have to do the jump on my own because everyone else was scheduled in for the afternoon, but then he told me he'd rung up and rearranged his time slot. We got the gondala up to 400m above Queenstown, which was pretty cool in itself to be honest, the city lights were on and they shimmered in the water, which was lovely. We got up there and Ricky changed into his fox costume, and I saw a possum. It was massive! Then we jumped, Ricky went first. I was way more scared for this one than I was for the one in South Africa, not sure why because at 47 metres it was way smaller, but I was. Was really cool though because it is the only bungy jump in New Zealand where you can do a running jump, so you get to fly off the end, which was awesome!
When we got back I decided I was going to go out for a bit, although I had originally said I wouldn't. I tell you these boys are just really convincing with reasons as to why one shouldn't stay in!
We went to Altitude and it was a kareoke night! Woohoo! Most of the guys sang a song, I did put my name down but at 1.30am I was just tired and hadn't sung yet so I went to bed. Did have a really good night though, such a fun bunch of people (-:
Going to be sad tomorrow on our last night with them all )-:
