This morning Tami woke up early to go to the dentist and it turns out she has an infection beneath her wisdom tooth. The dentist has given her some antibiotics which will give her pain relief until we get back to England. Then she has to have the tooth removed ewwwwww. After that excitement we went for a really nice walk to Muttonbird Island but didn’t see any Mutton Birds. It was a beautiful walk and the weather was amazing. Tami got burnt AGAIN. It is a really fit tan line because it is only across half her chest as her bag was covering the other half – so funny. On the way back down we were looking into the harbour and saw a wild turtle. It was out of this world. SO now in case anyone cares my top 7 favourite animals list includes donkeys, goldfish, Giant African Land Snails, turtles, cats, rabbits and otters.
We went back to the hostel and I went in the pool with Bekki while Tami mooched around doing something else and then we decided to go out on the creek on a kayak announcing with a megaphone that we were doing that. (Only joking mother but they did know we were going out and to be honest I don’t think they really cared.) The funniest bit ever was manoeuvring this giant kayak across a dual carriage way on some tiny trailer thing. It was hilarious even though we nearly got run over. Once in the kayak we sucked. Jon you would have been ashamed of u. We were all over the place, going from one side of the creek to the other amongst all the reeds and doing full circles. Eventually we got a nice rhythm going and went through the Botanical Gardens on the way. It was very pretty but we didn’t see any crocs. We did see a fish on a stick though. Basically we were going along and then we saw this fish floating in the air on what looked like a stick. Well Tami thought it was anyway. The rest of us just thought it was a fish in a bird’s beak… It was good fun and we didn’t fall out. High Five! Jon we need a rowing race when I get back because my arm muscles are so huge now J Not really.
Exhausted we went back to the hostel to cook dinner and then got ready to go out. It was all you can drink punch night for $7 which was a bad move on my behalf. Trust me getting the greyhound in the morning really hurts. I am NEVER doing it again. It was a fun night though except Tami abandoned me and I went to the club with the two Canadian girls and the three English boys. Oh and it was really embarrassing because I thought I had forgotton my ID so when I did find it the bouncer thought it was dodgy and was reluctant to let me in. I felt like a naughty 16 year old trying to get into a pub. He clearly thought it was fake because later on he came over to a group of us and only asked me for ID. I asked him if I looked 16 and apparently I do. Woo.
We got back about 2am and ate noodles and peanut butter. It was a good night. J
