Happy Birthday Mum! I hope you have an amazing day and enjoy every second of being 21…
Today we had a ridiculously early start so having had two hours sleep we were on the bus and I was not feeling 100%... To make matters worse just after our lunch stop the bus broke down. We all had to pile off because the bus driver said we would just sit there and sweat otherwise. Luckily we only had to wait about an hour and then we were off again.
However this is when the bad news starts. I got back on the bus and realised my ipod was missing. We checked my whole back and the bus and asked everyone to look but it had gone. Some %%^^&&**% had stolen it. I was not impressed. Infact I was fuming. I was in such a mood when we got to Byron Bay. I couldn’t believe that someone had had the audacity to go on the bus and take my ipod. GRRRR. If I found out who did it I will kill them. How the hell am I supposed to last the overnight buses now? I wish I had a homing device on the damn thing.
Anyway rant over.
The Arts Factory is amazing. It is like a little hippy village. You have the option of sleeping in a double decker bus or a tepee or tents or a love shack or other crazy things. We were boring and decided to stay in a dorm. There is also a pool, a sauna, a hot tub, pool tables, a bar called the Buddha Bar (as you can guess, the people who know us well, we were very very excited about this), a café, a cinema and it was a 7 minute walk from town. We went to Woolworths to get food, used the internet and then met our room mates. There is Odin from Norway, 2 English girls called Jade and Natalie and an older German woman called Angela. The rooms are also very nice except there were peanuts all over the floor that have apparently been there a long time.
We went for a swim and then went to cook dinner only to find the kitchen had been closed already despite the sign saying it was open for another half an hour. I was angry. We had to walk to the bakery and buy food which was yum but that’s not the point.
So all in all it was a rubbish day for me. Well in comparison to the rest of the trip. It’s not like we died or anything but I am sure you sympathise.
Happy birthday mum. I miss you, love you so much and hope you like your presents. xxx
