22nd June -
Had an early start which was alright as it is a beautiful morning. Starting to try and pack my bag and get a little bit organizes to leave. I only stay a place for one or two night but manage to remove and unpack everything in my backpack nearly every-time. Enjoyed another very average breakfast before heading out on the bike for a quick trip into town. Stopped off at the post office to mail another small package back. Then went to the laundry to pick up my clothes but told they weren't ready.
Back at the hotel and we then both headed out to go back to kamaris beach to look around the shops. Spent maybe an hour there before going back to hotel to check out. Stopped by the laundry place again to try and pick up my clothes. The woman didn't speak very much English and she couldn't find my bag.... Hopping that they haven't lost the clothes as that would be kinda annoying but at the same time my bag zipped up very easy without them. Checked out of the hotel and was talking with the tour leader about how they can't seem to find my clothes so she walked backed there with me and as soon as I walked in the bag was sitting right there. Always the way....
Walked into town for the last few hours and see what the shops had on offer and also stopped for lunch. Had the most delicious waffle. It was covered in nutella with bananas and strawberry then cream and chocolate and vanilla ice cream with a little more chocolate sauce on top. Was so good but so sweet.
Walked back to the hotel and then returned the quad bike to the rental place.
Got the hotel bus back to the new port to get the ferry to Athens. It is going to take about 8 or so hours to get to Athens. We arrived at the port about and hour early so we were nearly first in line and could get on the ferry first to grab good seats. Once on board headed straight to the front of the ferry and the economy class lounge. Good good seats in the lounges and comfy chairs area. Settled in with a quick nap and then just sat around talking and listening to music, reading and writing. Enjoyed a great dinner of coke and Oregano chips...
Was nice to be sitting at the front of the ferry so we could look out the windows. The weather is also very calm. It makes for a much nicer journey when the ferry just floats along and isn't rocky from side to side like on the journey out of Athens.
Arrived back in Athens around midnight and got the bus too our hotel. Headed to bed soon after.
