So we hit the casinos of Vegas and gambled a jaw dropping $35 in the two nights we went out! As I know people find highly amusing we were using the one cent machines, you may laugh but on the first night I won $22 and 54 cent from $1. I have no idea how the game worked but it made that lovely "ching ching ching" noise and the winnings started adding up, by the time it had got to $15 I was hoping it would stop (I know, I know I'm mad!) but I was embarrassed, people were watching! I wanted to carry on but Olof convinced me we should gamble it all on roulette, smart idea! $20 on red, it landed on green, I didn't even know there was a fricking green! We didn't just make stupid moves though we spend time looking around the strip and spent ages watching the water dance at The Bellagio, it happens every fifteen minutes and it's really amazing. Although the second one we watching we had moved position and ended up getting soaked where the winds were carrying the water. Considering visiting cities isn't exactly our favourite thing this is a class of its own and is a really awesome place, the atmosphere is really upbeat (well so was ours until Olof lost my winnings!) and everyone is just out for a good time! We went into the well-known hotels Caesars Palace (where I won!) and The Mirage (where I lost it all!) the buildings are really cool just to look at, another fairy tale place but in a completely different way to the mountains of Canada! During the day we were making the most of the little sun and heat there was and relaxing at the pool and having some good food in our apartment, we decided against going to the Grand Canyon, I couldn't face the six hours in the car and we couldn't really afford the flight but as we said we will be back again. Our second night out and first we went upthe Eifel Tower, jeez it's pretty high actually, but cool views of the lights and we watching the water dance from the top. It was then onto the casino and back to "my" machine, I love it, I started with $5 and came close to $30 but of course I carried on playing and it went down to $20 so we took it out at that. Olof had thoughts of getting a good sandwich as a nightcap with it but as he said I had a glint in my eye and the gambler came out I was going to roulette. Being a complete girl about things it went all on red again, and you guessed it, it was green again, seriously what are the odds! By then it was one o'clock in the morning and we needed to be up and leaving for LA at seven and leaving things until the last minute I had washing to do before I could go to bed. Leaving not much sleep that's for sure but we've loved Vegas and can definitely understand what all the fuss it about!
