This place feels a lot like London so far. It's not quite as busy and it's also cleaner, but the whole city feel is similar to the UK's capital more so than any other place in Australia. After walking around the city yesterday, including the botanical gardens and man-made beach, I got the impression that Brisbane is an easy-going city, with slightly more up-market citizens than somewhere like Sydney. Last night got wasted at the Birdie num.num, which is a bar attached to the Hostel I'm staying in at the mo, Bunk Brisbane. It's a pretty groovy place with lots going on. For today, I'm not planning on doing much, mainly because I'm recovering from last night. Might go soak up some rays and work out which theme park we'll be going to tomorrow! Laters readers...
