Arriving maybe sometime between 730/8.30ish am in Mcleod as the bus went all the way up thankfully, so no bus change down in Dharamsala.
Got off and I headed straight for the area I was staying at last time, down all the stairs, it wasn't til I started looking that I came to find all the guest houses were fully booked due to the Tibetan protest, especially with this being a Tibetan town with lots of 'do-gooders', I just kept seeing hoards of people walking with signs around there neck say, team Tibet, 'country name' supports, etc.
Especially with me wanting a room with a kitchen, well at the bottom of all the steps, 320ish not that I count, I found a lovely place, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anywhere else Id rather set up camp for the next 6weeksish. So on my first visit I was up and down between the top floor and the bottom to check out the sunlight on the balconies, up and down up and down comparing.
So I said to Sam, ill be back. I then walked up the stairs with my backpack on, which is heavy and my stolen primarnie bag where the strap had broken with my laptop etc in, all very heavy stuff especially in the heat. Go I was knackered, so I went to my Yoga School and dropped off my bag. And continued my hunt. I asked a girl on the street who had no bags if she was looking for a place and it turned out she was on my course, so we walked to Bhagsu together.
Once there I decided that I wouldn't want to stay there so headed back to Mcleod where I continued my hunt. After who knows how long I decided I would stay at the place I liked, id been back there two more times, looking at the light on the balconies, as the trees outside block the light and I wanted to sunbathe in my break.
So I told Sam(sanjeev) that I would take the top room and walked to go and get my bags, and bumped back into Julieanne the girl on my course and she came with me to view the bottom room. She took the bottom room aswell.
I unpacked, had a cold shower and got up and went round town shopping, and on the internet.
I was still rather emotional and missing Richy lots. But felt a hell of a lot more settled now that I had got the worst bit outta the way. But today is the day I have decided I want to come home straight after my course finishes, as I was going to look to go to goa and kerela, but after talking to people etc it will just be too hot and ill be hitting monsoon so really id be best staying up in the mountains, but after climbing kili last year, more trekking for 2weeks just doesn't appeal. So the hassle of trying to change flights through a third party as I cant go direct has started.
I was in bed by 8pm
