I got up and treated myself to a nice soak in the bath before packing up the rest of my stuff and checking out of the hotel. Mum had payed all the bills the night before but they still tried to charge me for a dinner I hadn't eaten. Someone had charged their food to my room!! I got a lift to the airport on the hotel shuttle bus and checked in for my flight to Auckland. I was flying to Auckland to meet up with Emma before we set off for Fiji. I was sad that Mum and Andrew had left but also quite excited about meeting up with Ems again. I arrived in the city centre mid afternoon and Emma met me off the airport bus. We had some lunch and did some holiday shopping then looked up our hotel on the internet. We were staying at the ACB hostel and they had an organised trip to the rugby that evening so I talked Emma into going. We had to meet at the Globe bar and as we were waiting outside we started talking to another girl who was there on her own. her name was Alana and she was a Leicester Tigers fan. I decided that I couldn't hold that against her, she seemed nice enough. We had a few beers together and got our faces painted as you can see from the photos. Everyone on the rugby trip piled onto a Kiwi Experience bus and we were driven to the stadium. I had stolen some of the face paints and did some work on one of the guys we were talking to (brave man). The game was between Auckland and North Harbour. I don't really remember much of the game. Spent most of it drinking beers and chatting with Emma and Alana. Didn't even pay much attention when Jonah Lomu came on during the second half!! On the trip back to the hostel, Alana made the mistake of giving her Ipod to me so Emma and I sang along to the most bizarre songs we could find (really loudly and out of tune). The driver was amused but don't think many other people were!!! Once back at the hostel, it was straight downstairs to the Globe bar once more. I'm actually surprised the bouncers let me in with "Spoon" written across my forehead. Emma went to bed quite early because she had an early flight but I stayed out partying with Alana and some other crazy people we had met.
