We leave Motueka on this glorious Monday morning and head for Nelson to stay with old friends Pat and Vicky. The drive is a short hop and an enjoyable and picturesque trip.
So Nelson is or base for the next 6 days, with the great warmth and hospitality of Vicky and Pat. I admit that a lot of the warmth also came in the shape of a bottle with red liquid and the delish Indian home-delivered dinner! We relished the snugly fine polar fleece sheets in a very comfy bed. Gotta get us some of those sheets!
And Rusty, the most gorgeous wee dog you can imagine. A first equal to Ziggy, Renae!!!!
I will steal this dog I swear!
Tuesday dawns cold and clear. The boys go off to golf and Vicky and I spent quality time browsing through a fabulous shop that would (and did) satisfy the shopping urge of any woman! We bought the odd thing or three before heading off to a cosy, cafe/restaurant for a leisurely lunch.
I have booked the Pelorous Mail Boat Run for Thursday morning and because it is a good one hour drive through the hills to get to the start point at Havelock, we decide to drive there tomorrow and take our time. We will base ourselves there for two nights and do a day trip to Blenheim and Picton.
