Annoyingly I had more time than I needed to get ready and catch the bus but not enough to do anything useful in Taupo. So instead I spent time waiting for the bus reading leaflets and drinking coffee in the waiting room at the bus station! Then the final bus journey of my trip this time 5 hours to Auckland (north island bus drivers seem quiet, their buses have seatbelts (which people wear) and make you label your luggage but thats probably because unlike on the south island lots of people get on and off and the bus actually stops in places) So arrived in Auckland and for the final time hauled my luggage to the youth hostel for my last few days. However no time to sight see today as I'm off for dinner at Tracey's (previous student at the TCC who was at the last day of the conference and lives here in Auckland) but got very confused yesterday trying to buy wine to take with me (they don't label vegetarian wine in the same way as we do in the UK so I've no idea if it is or not but its from one of the vineyards i wanted to visit in Napier but didn't have time?!?!)
