Hi!!
It has been boiling hot today, the van was unbearable to sleep in. We are soo happy that we only have it for a few more days! When we got up we drove back to the beach and spent the day throwing ourselves into waves so we will be brave when we eventually get a surf lesson! It was a pretty good day but there is no shade on the beach and it is SOOO hot so we had to keep having a shopping break to get some shade.
Everything is really expensive here. We went to buy stuff to cook a curry last night but it is probably chaeaper to make one and then the torrential rain started so we couldn;t have cooked anyway. We bought a dominos to eat in the van but it was rubbish compared to english dominos, there was no garlic and herb dip or anything!
The major supermarket here is woolworths which is very strange. We bought an advent calender the other day but I think all the chocolate has melted so we have given up on it! You can't buy alcohol anywhere here either unless its in a bar or a bottleshop, they have so many rules, its a difficult country to get used to!
We have just had to come out of the sea because there were too many sharks and so there was no fun to be had. I couldn't see any but the lifeguards were circling them on their jetskis which was pretty cool. I think I had pretty much swallowed half the ocean today anyway so it was time for a break!
The crisps here are rubbish, it is awful! They don't even have lays/walkers! The major brand is smiths and they are a poor excuse for a crisp! They have pringles but so far they have been too expensive for me, but when the cravings start to seriously kick in I will be testing those!
Keon is probably going to go home for christmas so I will be a little loner on the beach in a santa hat :-( I want to come home for one week and then come back, start a kitty please guys!! :-p
Thats all I have to say for now. I hope your all getting christmassy, I'm not because you can't be christmassy and sunburnt, its just wrong!
P.s. Ali, santa wears all the traditional stuff here I'm afraid. No shorts or anything! He apparantly has sat nav on his sleigh as well which ruined things for me! The santa I saw was playing the saxaphone and wearing stilts, what is that all about?!! Miss you xx
