Sorry everyone, I have been in my camervan for 3 days and haven;t had anything too exciting to tell you!!

After I last wrote we went to see father christmas arriving into sydney harbour to turn on the christmas lights which was really cool but sad because I was surrounded by aussies and not all you guys! I think christmas here is going to be really sad, we are already pretty disheartened by being away from everyone! Its just not the same seeing decorations when its hot and your on a beach. I made a sand-snowman yesterday on the beach and made a little scarf out of seaweed for him.

We went to get our van on Monday morning but Keon;s card was rejected and all 3 of mine were rejected too!! We had to go to the cash machine and try to get enough money out but we couldn't get it all together and after a day of rushing around with our backpacks we had to admit defeat and find a hostel. At about 3pm everyday in Sydney a huge storm comes for a few hours so its not all sunshine and happiness in OZ!

We got up early the next day and went off to get our van, we were so excited and set off on our journey but after 3 days of driving we have only just reached the first place worth stopping! We have been to millions of hillbilly villages and stuff but nowhere with anything interesting at all. A lot of the time its just like we are driving in England, it really looks the same and a lot of the palces have English names like Newcastle and Liverpool!

They have really good fish and chips here though so thats pretty good. It hasn;t been very good weather, its pretty hot but with big dark clouds and lots of rain. We've been in the van lots though so prefer it to be cooler because the van is like a sauna. From tomorrow we want good weather though as we are planning our first beach day. Byron bay seems really cool, its just a little town with a huge beach and tons of surfer shops selling billabong stuff and nice little cafes and stuff.

We have been cooking our dinner out of the back of the campervan most days and its always pasta but tonight I'm going to cook us a curry. Its really hard to find somewhere to park up though, there are so many rules here about parking and having a camping stove, there are speed signs everywhere (I got bloody caught today after about 10mins of driving so I'm pretty pissed off) and they are so strict about drinking. If you appear slightly drunk they throw you out of a bar so you feel like you always have to watch yourself. I always imagined everything would be chilled out here!!

I found out that I don;t actually have my work visa after keon showed me his one in his passport yesterday so I need to go and stand in a queue for hours at the embassy when we get to Brisbane. Hopefully it'll all be ok but I don;t know how I managed to get in to the country becuase I don;t have any visa at the mo!!

We are only having the van for 7 days now because we couldn;t afford any nmore than that at the moment. We are soo happy now that we didn;t get it for the 4 weeks because it isn't as much fun as we thought. Especially when we have to drive right back to the motorway every night to find a rest area when all the lorries are parked! I don;t know what we're going to do in Brisbane because we won;t be able to find anywhere to park there!!

The other day I got an email off some aussie guy asking me if her knew that my blog is being advertised on the sta travel australian website. I went onto it and there it was, my blog being advertised on their homepage 'Follow christina in Thailand' and a bug extract from one of my blogs!! Its soo embarrassing, I have no idea how they found me because it is the company that I booked my flights with and slagged off in my blog the other day but I have never told them anything aboout my blog! They are pretty gutted now though because thousands of Aussies are reading what I said about them being rubbish! I'm famous in Oz now, haha!

I hope your all ok and getting excited about christmas, I wish I could fly home for a week and see you all and then I'd be fine because I don't want to miss christmas at home! Miss you xxx
