Foster's Tour
Hey everyone, hope you are all well.
This will have to be a quick one, so here we goooooo (a bit sad i know)
After the last msg i spent some tim in Kalbarri, I got a little bored there at times but made up for it by going sand boarding, which was awesome. We started by driving to the dunes in a 4 wheel drive truck, as we where driving through the sand i could see this drop coming like a waterfall almost vertical and was getting worried that if he didnt stop we would fly over the edge to our death !!! he put the breaks on just in time.... and then to my delight said "hold on to some thing" and put the peddle to the floor and shot us off the end of this sand cliff ! must say it was alot of rnu driving/sliding down it. We carried on driving and found some average slopes to start and practice on and then got serious after a spot of luch and snorkeling in the sea. The whole day was alot of fun and worth the money.
The next day i was picked up by the easy rider bus and we drove to a place called Denham just for the night. Met a few more people there (some that i had seen b4) Some of us (not me of course) had a rough night and woke up at 6:50am, this was 10 mins b4 the bus left at 7:00am, it was like the begining scene from home alone me and
Spence runnig around like mad men trying to get ready. We stopped off in Monkey Mia to see the dolphins being fed and then to a new aqua park (very small mainly for research) the marine byolagist there showed us some cool fish and got to hold a turtle (who are very nast animals indeed) b4 we saw some awesome and nast sharks (pics to come) and a sea snake which is 3 time more poiseness (cant spel) than any land snake, but wont really attack people but will if prevoked....but he said "if you see one it will prob come right upto you because they like to look at them self in your mask" Great....just Great, then we headded on to Coral Bay. We all checked in and by this time we where all friends and getting along great, every one i have met and made friends with have been a top laugh in their own way. Again i have to be honest and say, like most nights, it started with some card games and then progressed onto too many drinks. We were later advised that opposite the Backpackers there was a 24 hour bakery....it was a true story, we were all in heaven the smell of fresh bread and the offer of bun, and mini pizzas and cakes was too much for some of us !! The next day was spent seeing the town and snorkeling. Later that night we went to the local tavern/pub where once again card games lead to serious drinking with the locals, there were 20 of us round a table at one point all talking like we had no teath and shaking our bums... long story but might be able to get some pics in next few days. The next day i booked to go on a catermarang sailing trip top some top snorkelling spots, the first one was relly nice and then we had a bbq on the boat (how cool) and then happy as larry dived into the next snorkel spot only when i dived down to swim near the bottom i spotted............ a shark !!!! i being a confident swimmer and diver and a calm person in general, s*** myself (sorry mum) and shot to the surface and the boat at about 97 miles per hour. I gave a description to the skipper and he found a book and pointed out the one i had seen and told me that it was a black tipped reef shark which i followed with " I dont care if its a toothless vegitarian shark, its still a shark!!" after a little perswasion i got back ni and enjoyed the rest of my trip which included boom netting, which is when they hang a net from the back of the boat and pull you along...lots of fun i kid you not. Any who im running out of cradit so i will have to type up the rest in a few mins or tom.
