We are staying in Kandy for another two days to explore and relax. However we have found out that Kandy is not the place for relaxation. It is a small town packed full of shops in historic buildings ruined with huge plastic signs. The roads are constantly crowded with cars, tuk tuks and bus beeped and each other loudly. During the night it had rain heavily and lots if roads in colombo had flooded, so our journey to Kandy on train could be a problem. On the train towards the main station we met a local man who had family in Brighton, he was chatting to is about lots of stuff and warned us of the hot curries which we have yet to experience!
