Today I arrived in Osaka. Really enjoyed my time in Kyoto, it has a brilliant nightlife and I can now open bottles of beer with chopsticks (what an achievement!!!!). Also visited a tiny bar called Zappa which David Bowie regularly frequents, but he didn`t show unfortunately. The food is delicious here and I have tried lots of local dishes including Takoyaki (octupus balls in pancakes with dried fish), yumm. I visted the golden shrine which is impressive and many others with lanterns, temples, markets and geisha occasionally. I visited Nara and Kobe which are close towns. One is famous for its deer which are everywhere and you can feed them but they try to eat your cloths too! and the Daigi-ji temple (largest wooden building in the world) was interesting. The other is famous for kobe beef, any of you who like steak this is the best steak in the world! You can only order a small peice becasue each cow is feed beer and massaged each day so the meat is incredibly soft and a marble looking texture. Well worth the money!!! The chef cooked everything including Japanese potatoes at the table in front of us. Today I visited Osaka port where Japan`s Universal Studios are, I went onto the biggest ferris wheel in the world to see the biggest suspension bridge in the world (anyone sense a theme) and went to the best aquarium with the biggest tank, was brilliant.
Hope everyone is well, I will let you know how I get on here soon. Take care
