Today we headed off to avila. A very beautiful city. I liked it alot, much more than Segovia. The atmosphere there was very nice and the old walls were amazing. It´s a walled city and you can walk around the old city walls, the views from the top of which are incredible. I´ll put the pictures up when I can.

It´s a fair way to Avila and once we had walked around the walls and had lunch it was time to catch the train back so we didn´t get to see much more of the city. Even though I am told that there´s a mummified Saint´s finger there.

It was a really nice but long day and given that hostels aren´t the best place to get a good nights kip, we´re all knackered so now we´re back in Madrid and gonna try and get an early night as tomorrow will be another long day of travelling.

Tomorrow afternoon we head back home to Linares and in the morning I think we´ll go for a little walk to the Palace here in Madrid.
