I had a bit of a lay in this morning. Emma was up early with the kids before going to work and dropping the kids at the childminder on the way. Andrew had some work to do first thing before we went out for the afternoon. I was just enjoying chilling after a non stop month. He came downstairs mid morning and rang his doctors for me - had to have my stitches out today. The doctors were in Warlworth so we stopped at a tree surgery job Andew had to assess on the way. Lovely place it was, massive lake and lots of trees! Would be awesome to live there. After this was sorted, we headed out to a vineyard for a cheese platter, OBV I think it was called which had amazing views of the bay. We were gutted when we found it was shut!! I took some token photos anyway and we got back in the car. We ended up at the pottery place for lunch which was something different. We chatted over a baguette and then had to make a dash for the doctors. I've tried to pay for all my meals and drinks whole I've been here but he was having none of it! Lunch today went on the company account! He stopped and gave a bit of abuse to someone he works with on the way to the doctors but we still made it. He was quite excited about what was going to happen, after he'd accepted that he couldn't take them out himself with his knife! He wanted to learn how to do it in case the kids ever had to have them - having met Zak, it won't be long!! So I was called in and asked him if he wanted to come too, he jumped at the chance as he wanted to get his money's worth! All I could see out the corner of my eye was him keep peeping round the curtain, was very funny! But I was all done in no time and with a bit of glue and another bloody steri strip I was sent on my way. I went to pay the bill and was shoved out the way by Andrew again so he could pay. I protested that it was my injury, he argued it was his doctors and nigh on told me to shut up. We had a walk round Warkworth, went in a few hunting shops and had a coffee, then headed home. I chilled till the kids got home and the madness commenced once more! They were in bed quite early so we had dinner, a few drinks including his home made damson vodka and chatted about life. They're both very motivational and talk a lot of sense. Helped me put a lot of things in perspective. If only they lived closer. I've really enjoyed my time with them too, they're basically big kids looking after 2 smaller kids and a lot of animals! But they've really made me think differently about things and seeing how they live out here has made me think twice about stuff. Some time out here has done me the world of good......
