I woke up to the sound of the kids this morning bless them. Makes a nice change to noisy Americans! We all had breakfast together and then packed the car up to go to the beach, Puhoi. We drove past the school, little local hall and village and it was nice to see where they live etc. The beach was awesome and so empty! Zak was in his element (I took videos and pictures for you mum) and it was nice to be out in the sunshine! After drying Zak off we went to the local pub and had 'chippies' as we had to call them, followed by a gelato at the cheese factory (yes mum, I have pictures of this too and they all said thanks). The kids were tired by this point so we headed home - the plan was for Andrew and Emma to go for a horse ride together while I looked after the sleeping kids. No worries, I thought they'd both sleep right through. Zak did but Eva wouldn't even go to sleep in the first place! It was nice to spend time playing with her though and was nice for Andrew and Emma to get out on a ride together now he has his new horse. They got back and Emma was adamant that I should ride Big, Andrews horse, as I'd never been on one before. So I gave it a go, much to their amusement! I only went round the paddock but that was enough as I have the same issue with horses as I do with camels! Plus a bit of an encounter back home with Misty! But I was all good and stayed with Emma for a bit while she sorted the horses out, including Zak's little Shetland pony Whiz!
I chilled on the decking in the sunshine while feeding and bathing took place and then watched Ice Age or 'dinosaurs' with Zak. We had roast beef for dinner which was lush, followed by an ozzy soap, Packed to the Rafters, which is their guilty pleasure! We sat around chatting after this and I had a brief lesson on Mauris and their history which was interesting. We hit the sack after a while, and I found the longer I was staying here, the more I liked it. It had even crossed my mind to spend the whole 3 weeks here!.......
