The plan had been to go to Universal Studios but we looked online last night and found out it's 50.00GBP which is so expensive on our budget! So after the free breakfast we headed to Venice Beach, also known as Muscle Beach! There is a gym on the beach lol. We saw a few chunky monkey body builders but not as many as we thought we might do.

After a couple of hours at Venice Beach we drove back to Hollywood but stopped in Beverly Hills on the way back and walked down Rodeo Drive doing some window shopping. As the Oscars are this weekend all the designer shops had the most beautiful dresses on display . . . . wow! We walked all the way down Rodeo Drive to the Beverly Wiltshire Hotel (used in the film Pretty Women) before making our way back up the other side. Next stop was the Hollywood sign! We drove up into the Hollywood Hills until we found the perfect view.

We dropped the car back at the hostel and did the walk of fame down Hollywood Boulevard looking at all the stars in the pavement! We walked all the way up to the Kodak Theatre where they have already set up for the Oscars this Sunday, it all looks so good! We went to the Chinese Theatre too and took photos of all the stars hand and footprints in the pavement.

The red carpet and Oscars statues are already at the Kodak Theatre along with all the marquees etc. We got to walk on the red carpet!! We have walked on the Academy Awards 2009 red carpet in Hollywood!! Admitedly it had a layer of plastic protecting it but still, very exciting thinking that in 2 days all the stars will be walking that exact same thing! You were also able to go inside the Kodak Theatre, walking your way in along the covered red carpet and up the staircase, very cool.

We walked back to the hostel, picking up some dinner on our way before collapsing in bed.
