Went to see Turandot at the Opera House. The performance was really good, and the singer who played Calaf had such a good voice, he got a really good reception at the end. The opera house itself is really disappointing. It looks half-finished and tired inside, with cement block walls and lots of brown and grey. Saw The Strokes at the Hordern Pavilion which is about ten minutes walk from our house. They were absolutely amazing! Weekend was great - we decided to actually do some stuff so we went to the Chinese Garden of Friendship, the Aquarium and we went on the monorail!! The Chinese Garden was FANTASTIC! It was just so peaceful and beautiful and so much larger than it looks from the outside. The weather was nice so we sat in the sun drinking green tea and listening to the water....lovely.
