Hi all, Nadz here. It's now the day after boxing day and while I am on the train into Sydney, I thought I would write and tell you about the last few days.

Christmas Eve was my birthday, which we had been looking forward to, so we could go to the pub all day and night. We planned on sitting in Terrigal beer garden, then moving onto Woodport -the dungeon club. our plan was ruined as there was a terential storm. The rain was bouncing off the road and there was thunder and power cuts - the lot! There was just me and Loz sat on our own with a bottle of wine, it was pretty misrible. Everyone had big groups of friends apart from us. We tried to be positive and drank a couple more bottles of wine, then some guys came over and asked us if we wanted to sit with them. We had been checking out all the ugly guys and this lot was the best out of a bad bunch, so I thought we should count ourselves lucky really, trying to be positive. we then got chatting to Ellie an English girl, who works at the pub and knew the lads we were sat with. She was really nice and we have now got tickets to go out with them into Sydney on NYE to Hed kandi. We are going to watch the Sydney Harbour Bridge Fireworks at midnight (this is the bridge in the picture above), then going to Hed Kandi club and can't wait!!!!! The lads we was with was going to Key Largo (another little dive around here), so we went with them. One of them was driving so we got a lift. We only made it up the first huge hill and the damm car broke down. Loz got out and started trying to push it back up the hill with the others and I just sat in the passenger seat getting pushed! It was way too steep to push the car back up, so we had to let it roll back down the hill ! We spent ages at someones house, trying to get jump leads, but then got fed up of waiting so so left him with the car and set off walking. This is where it starts getting all blurry! We went into the pub upstairs and had various concosions of drinks, then went to que for the crappy club. I thought the bouncer didn't let us in as I had a drink in my hand, but aparantly it was because it was a ticket only event (a band called evermore was playing, who are big over here). I gave the bouncer a huge speach, which went something like " I have come all the way from England, it's terential rain, it's my birthday and I am missing my mum and my friends and all i want to do is go inside this rubbish place to make myself feel better, it's christmas and i want to go home"! Ha! By this point I had tears and Loz was giving the bouncer another huge speach! Anyway, I stood outside for a while in the corner and a few minutes later the bouncer came over and said " I believe you want a word" - I think it was the one in charge. He must have felt sorry for us as he took us through and let us in without a ticket free of charge, after all that ! can't remember alot more, just that Laura kept putting about 3 drinks in my hand at the same time, when I said I didn't want one (I blame her for my drunken state!).

The next day was Christmas day and Loz had the worst hangover in the world and looked like death. She threw up her cooked breakfast and everything. We had a quiet xmas day and I persuaded Laura to have a beer by the end of the day.

Had a good day on Boxing day (this is when the above picture was taken). We decided to do something. We got on the train into sydneyand headed to Circular Quay. We saw the Opera House and sat with a beer on the waterside taking in the great views! We caught the ferry to Darling Harbour, and went and sat in some more sun and drank more beer. We walked around Sydney seeing the sights and visiting the shops - bad idea there are hundreds and they had sales!! Didn't get back until 10.30pm and had a really good day.

We are heading back into Sydney now for a fun filled day of sun, beer and sight seeing TBC..........
