Neil's Round the World Trip!
I woke up around 11ish and was invited by Michael to watch the Australia v Italy match but I was moving hostel so I didn't go with him. I packed my stuff and walked to my new HI hostel called "La Casa de Don Jaime". The staff were really friendly and it had a reggae style bar called Roots.
I met Mariana and we went to a swanky bar called Metropolitan where we had some good food and I ordered a whisky for my throat (which is sore). We walked through the shopping streets and I bought an album by Julieta Venegas as one of the songs has been on everywhere I've been in SA, it's called "Me voy". So when I'm home I'll remember South America when I hear it. I then sent all my postcards including Gabe's (that she gave me). Mariana and me then walked to the fountain plaza area and the flag monument. There is an eternal flame that burns for all the soldiers who died in the Las Malvinas conflict (the Falklands). We walked back to Mariana's apartment and I met her sister and nephews. Also her mum and dad were there and talked to me for a bit. They wished me a safe journey and I left with Mariana to go to an Irish bar called "O'Connoll's". We had a good meal and I drank whisky again for my sore throat (doesn't seem to be working though..still really sore). Oh they have stuff here called Golf sauce which is really nice but is mayo and ketchup mixed (random info for you).
Mariana dropped me off at my hostel and I went to sleep but only after enduring idle chit-chat for an hour from two guys who were swinging in the hammock outside my room.
