So many small town adventures, and I love them. What made them a hundred times better, of course, are the people I got to share them with.
On weekends we've been hiking, up Azure Mountain, Arab Mountain and Cascade Mountain, (which if you're going to do this last one, don't do it hungover and give yourself enough time to walk both Porter and Cascade. They're attached pretty much, and you'll regret only doing one. But Cascade is definitely beautiful, and so worth it even though it feels like you're never going to reach the top).
One day, my housemate wanted to get in her car and go. She says she's always wanted to do that, but never did. In all her life. And so, that day, that's exactly what we did. We hopped in her 'mom' van and went. Came to an intersection and just took whatever way we said first. We found ourselves on the otherside of Canton and had to drive home for lunch. But it was definitely an adventure.
Another weekend, we went for another fun drive. This was the day after Cantalina Wine Mixer, where we got dressed in heels and fancy dresses, got really drunk and passed out together, in a sleepover hundle. Well me and my housemate did, then the next morning we all had a cuddle puddle. But, getting back to the point. My housemate and I went for another fun drive and our other two friends wanted to know where we were at. So we played car chasey.
We sent pins of our location around St. Lawrence County and they had to come find us. We thought we had more time, so we stopped to take train track photos and ended up getting busted.
We went exploring to Lampson Falls. A waterfall not far out of town. It was a cool evening. Pretty cold by the water, and it was incredible. It was a beautiful adventure, to explore in the evening and watch the sunset before a nice dinner.
We've had nights where we sat around drinking and teaching each other drinking games. No going out to the clubs. Just being with each other, having our own fun.
We've had nights where we went to watch the college Hockey and Basketball games. There was one game where the opposing team's mascot was a kangaroo. They told him when he came by that I was from Australia, the friends I was at the game with, and he was like, photo photo! So we got a photo together and I couldn't stop laughing.
Next adventure I can't wait to share, and absolutely loved is Thanksgiving in Binghamton, with Rachel and her beautiful family.

Brooke The pin says I'm in Eagle Bay. But really it was Potsdam, Tupper Lake and Canton.
