Met up with our tour guide Champion to take us on a guided tour of the ruins.
The site was built between the 13th and 17th centuries. All buildings were built as dry wall structures, which was incredible to see and amazing how they have lasted so long!
First stop was the citadel were the king lived, incredible stone work which was built in with the natural rock formations and stunning views over the surrounding area and the great enclosure.
Stopped in a little cave which is said to be the kings bedroom were he could have his way with his 200 wifes. If you shouted within the cave your echo could be heard from miles away.
Champion believes the king would shout for which wife he desired from the cave and gave us a demonstration very amusing!
We visited the great enclosure which is where the kings 1st wife lived and is the most documented of the ruins, the walls are 11m in height, 5m in width at the bottom and about 2m at the top, it's diameter is 250m. Walls are just a solid mass of rock, took approx 100yrs to build.
That afternoon we had a works party which involved cleaning the truck whilst listening to music and drinking.
Jobs were wrote down and you picked job as a lucky dip.
Lucky dip indeed for me as I drew out DJ & barman!
Spent the afternoon carrying on with my juggling lessons.
Rogan also made some batons to juggle, don't think I'm ready for the yet!
