Woke at 6 this morning to walk with lions, one of the main activities I wanted to do when I came to Africa, and it didn't disappoint!
Met up with the lion cubs at there enclosure and headed off into the park.
Such a surreal feeling walking besides a lion, not something I would be able to do feeling so relaxed.
Got a lot of great pictures sitting with the lions also walking.
I can also confirm that Lions can and do climb trees!
In the afternoon we had our last lion activity, cub feeding.
Again, we managed to see 2 groups of cub feeding, the ones we had walked earlier and another 2 cubs which were 9 months old. Before we feed the cubs we knew it wasn't going to be the thrill of yesterdays feed but was good to see.
2 chunks of meet tossed over the fence into the enclosure and the cubs took a piece each and finished them off within 5 minutes.
That evening we headed to the bar and got talking to some of the volunteers.
To volunteer at Antelope Park for a fortnight costs £900! And you can stay for a maximum of 6 weeks if you can afford it.
