Today Me, Jon, Martin, Rogan and Dianne rafted the Zambezi river.
Met at reception and headed for the boiling pot in Victoria falls, starting point for the rafting.
Me and Di both fell out on rapid one, good start to the day.
The first 10 rapids on the Zambezi are grades 4 and 5, rapid 9 is prohibited as its a grade 5+.
The whole boat tipped twice on rapid 4 and once on rapid 8.
Such a rush and adrenaline is pumping when you fall out of the boat, you are at the mercy of the river not knowing if you will be pulled under water and pop back up 20m down river.
Watched a couple of the guides going down rapid 9 all I can say is there off their heads! Especially the bloke in the kayak.
Stopped for lunch where Alison joined us for a half day of rafting on rapids 11 to 25.
Both Alison and Rogan fell out on rapid 13, The Mother.
The boat flipped up onto its side but me and the others managed to stay in the boat.
The 2nd half of the day was a lot more relaxed which was a nice break from this mornings rapids.
