Woken up by one of the boys needing a wee around 730am. Beautiful and warm outside so sat out and read while Jonny played in the playground. By 8am I needed coffee and luckily Nick was awake. Breakfast marathon, showers and then we all set off to Port Lincoln. We parked near the jetty and Nick stayed with the three small ones and played in a park while Katharine and I went off to tourist information. We picked up a pile of brochures on the Yorke Peninsula to see if we should head there next. By the time we got back to the park, Nick had had enough as it was hot and really windy. Next stop was Woolworths and we stocked up on groceries again - especially fruit! Then we headed home for lunch and a siesta and caught up on laundry. Around 4pm we headed out to Farm Beach where the locals suggested going for a swim. It was magic - much more like a WA beach!!! We could drive on the beach and managed to find a spot tucked out of the wind. We saw a manta ray as soon as we parked which seemed like a good omen! We all had a swim and then had a game of beach cricket. Around 6 we headed home and as we pulled up to the caravan, noticed it had a flat tyre! Nick spent the next 30 minutes changing the tyre which meant removing gas bottles to get the spare off! Thank goodness it didn't happen while we were driving (Nick thinks it was good practice for when it does!!). Had dinner and the kids enjoyed running around outside for an hour or 2 until the sun set - a beautiful red sky. Just before bed we went off to look for kangaroos and found 4 eating just near the caravan.

Caroline So pleased to hear that flat tyre came at a safe and good time. Love to hear of your travels each day. x
chelle Hello, just caught up on the blog we love reading your adventure. We have been away to Fontys Pool for the long weekend. On returning yesterday we too had tyre problems with caravan swaying! Sav took control and bought us to safety as our back left car tyre shredded going about 90kms flicking off the back panel and extras from the car (it put the wind up us, Sav seems to be getting lots of experience at tyre dramas). Changing it in the heat on the side of a busy road was painful, hot and frustrating. Not a fun trip home from a great weekend.....
Lamp Shade We usually see kangaroos, when we are in the bush. Anyway, lucky you!
