Hola!
Today is our last day in Barcelona! We have had such a great time! What a difference in culture there is here! The weather has been perfect especially with the cool sea breeze!
Since we wrote last we have been very busy! and only in about 20 hours too! We ate dinner out on terrace off of las ramblas of a cafe. We started with individual glasses of sangria rather than a pitcher BUT we probably drank about a pitcher between us! We split the mixed paella. It was delish!! Paella is a traditional spanish meal of rice and chicken, mussels, clams, cray fish, lots of yummy things! At dinner we couldn't go 5 minutes w-o a homeless person wanting some money, food, or our sangria! There were lots of vendors trying to sell flowers too. As annoying as it was it made a great conversation starter w- the Austrians sitting near us! We got to talking and went to a bar together. They were so much fun! Crazy too!! It was interesting to hear about there lives, culture, and such. We decided that going out til after 2:30 and drinking sangria and cervezas wasn't a good idea on the day before we were leaving!
We woke up later than we wanted to, packed, and went to the train station to drop off our bags. Then we went to La Familia Sagrada. It is what the picture is on this blog. Antoni Gaudi designed it. Words can't even describe how cool this was! Then we did a bit of shopping....now we are going to get our last pitcher of sangria and paella for lunch and catch our train to Girona at 4 this afternoon.
dos besos!
