Awwww!! Barcelona! I almost don't ever want to leave this city!! We started the morning off by taking the metro to Park Guell. It is a famous park designed by the architect Antoni Gaudi. If you dont'know any of his work you should google him and chek it out! He made some of the most elaborate things I have ever seen!! The park was soooo pretty! There were a lot of sections that were high enough that we could overlook most of the city and the sea! So cool!!! He made a lot of ornate ceilings with tiles kind of like mosaics! I have tons of pictures!! Tomorrow we are going to go to one of his other famous creations, La Familia Sagrada.
After the Park we were pretty tired from all the walking so we went and had lunch at a little place by our hostel. We had mussels marinaira, a really yummy salad, bread w- tomato and COLD WATER. Then we headed to the beach! It was so fun! I have never been in ocean water so it was an experience!! I only got in a few times b-c i couldn't balance myself w- the waves!! One big wave even took my swimsuit bottoms off!!! It was pretty funny! We mainly just relaxed and laid out by the sea listening to the waves! We didn't do go the nudist beach--although there is one. But, it was almost like we did! people here are so....open. we saw so many topless women! Lots of them probably shouldn't have been topless either! The even let there little girls run around w/o tops....I can't see that happening back in the states!! Then we ate at this places called baja bar. Ryan had a budweiser....he isn't a big fan of estrella damm (spanish beer). I had a REALLY yummy cocktail! We at tapas... Yum! After this blog update we are going to go get some sangria...it is my new favorite!!!
We did run into one BIG problem here in Barcelona...trains...trains trains trians...they have not been on our side during this trip! Our last problem in Madrid was because we didnt'reserve tickets...so we went to the station today to try and reserve tickets for a night train to pairs ....BUT because of Bastille Day everything to Paris is booked for the next 3 days! awwwwwww talk about stress!! But we found a fairly cheap flight...but it is out of an airport about an hour out of Barcelona, so we have to take a train to Girona tomorrow and fly out of there on Friday.....I don't like thinking about that....The whole train situation makes me not like Madrid...But I have LOVED Barcelona so much that I don't want any bad feelings or thoughts! I might have to go back to the beach before we leave!!

hasta luego! dos besos!
