hola!!!

Yesterday was the MOST fun we've had yet!!! Which is really fun b-c we have been having a blast!!! It didnt'start out great though!!

We woke up at 4:30 to take the metro to the train station and get to Barcelona as early as possible! People were just leaving the bars and were peeing in the alleys....gross!! When we got to the metro--it was closed! it didn't open til 6! So we flagged down a taxi and took that to Puerta de Atocha--train station in Madrid. The ticket office didn't open til 6:15 and our train left at 6:25 doesn't make sense does it!? so we didn't make that one! But there was one at 8:15...the only seats left were first class! We didn't want to pay the extra but our only option was waiting til 6...and we had nothing to do! So we took the first class seats! Then the day got good...riding in style for 4.5 hours!!

We got a good BIG breakfast and the train road right along the Mediterranean Sea! Rosie slept so he missed most of it... We found our hostel really quickly! yippeeee not lost anymore!! It is clean w- lots of computers!! woo hoooooo!!

Last night we went to a little mom and pop spanish diner....SO good! We had menu del dia (special of the day) We split a tortilla esponla (potato omlette) and salmon plancha... ALSO we split a pitcher of sangria! sooooo good...and STRONG! One pitcher might be too much for 2 people! but oh well!!

We walked around las ramblas---lots of street dancers and vendors. Then we went to the sea!! We took a boat tour along the coast of Barcelona!! City to one side and sea at the other! It was the prettiest thing I have ever seen!!!!! I have some great pictures too!! We drank big cervezas on the boat! It was liek a 2 hour ride too!! So fun!!

Well an angry french lady wants the computer...so I have to go but I will update you all on our SECOND DAY IN BARCELONA!!!
