Madrid take 2!!

WHEW! That is me....making a noice of exhaustion! Today has been a LONG day! very fun though! Ryan understands the city in terms of directions and streets a lot better today so we actually had a plan of action! We weren't so lost today! So that makes me feel MUCH better about our entire trip!

We started the day at the internet cafe and a few other places that I wrote about earlier. Then, we went to El Parque de Retiro. It is a BEAUTIFUL park with very pretty gardens IO have some GREAT pictures! The park is huge! in the middle there is a pond and you can rent row boats! So we did that for an hour! Well... Actually I took pictures of the statues and relaxed while Rosie rowed me around the pond! It was very relaxing (for me) and so fun! We also walked around a street with some really trendy shops. We stopped for some ice cream too!! yumm yumm!! We also stopped at a bar for some cervazas and tapas. Tapas are basically little appetizers you can get w- your beer at the bars...very yummy! We found our first place w- pepsi too! So, ryan got a pepsi light -- not as good as diet pepsi!

The city is much more lively today pretty much everything was closed on Sunday. We found a cool spot we are going to go for dinner and have a few cervezas, then we will head back to the hostel, shower, pack, and get some sleep! In the morning we are taking an early train to Barcelona... talk to you all soon!
