Hola mis amigos y mi familia!!

We are in Madrid!!

After our much needed rest in London at the FANCIEST Holiday Inn I've ever been to it was time to head to the Luton Airport... We left at 4 am--people were still sitting at the bar in the hotel drinking! Rosie and I both envied them!! London was SO cold! I had shorts and a Nebraska t-shirt so I couldn't have looked MORE like a tourist!! The huge backpack didn't help either! Everyone was SO fashionable in London! My ¨"trendiest" clothes wouldn't have even fit in! Anyways, we went to the airport and had a tradition english breakfast--eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, bacon (canadian bacon), and bean.....yes BEANS bailey you would have loved it! We slept the whole flight to Madrid!

The Madrid Airport is HUGE we walked around w- our huge packs and a look of confusion....Since we've been here we trade those looks of confusion and repeatedly say ¨"now what?" It is a bit more ghettoish than we assumed it would be.... It took us forever to find out hostel Mapquest sucks! ha ha

Our hostel is cute....little...noisy...but cute. Grandma--this toilet flushed by pulling a chain!

We went to Plaza de Colon yesterdy and watched the fountains and skateboarders. Then went back to our hostel thinkign we were tired...and instead stayed up stairing at the ceiling until 5 am. The only channels we could get on the tv were spanish porn....needless to say we stared at the ceiling and read the same magazine 2 times. This morning we slept in later than we planned but decided 2.5 hours of sleep wasn't enough! We went to Puerto del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Next we are going to a park we read about and the train station so we know where we are going tomorrow!! We are leaving first thing in the morning for Barcelona.

We decided we'd catch up on sleep here and experience the nightlife in Barcelona!!

We've been having fun...We are SO tired though! and LOST...it is very confusing here! It could just be that I don't know directions in general but even Ryan is having problems!! At least we are lost together....I can't imagine doing this by myself! OHHHH a construction worker droped a metal pipe off a scaffilting (spelling?) thismoring and it landed about a foot from us.... close call! Other than that we have been pretty safe!! We are afraid to go out at night! lots of graffiti, sirens, dark alleys, and us... being lost Spanish porn it is!! (just kidding)

We'll update you all later!! E-mail us! It is nice to hear from home! Even though I cry each time I read an e-mail!
