Europe Hit By MGH
After waking up one morning in Budapest and thinking to myself that unless i took this travelling situation by the scruff of the neck, it would slowly turn into living not travelling.
I checked out of home and went to jump on a 16 hour overnight train to Split, a seaside town in Croatia. I said that i had no idea what i was going to do when the boys left me and i meant it. This was a last minute decision and in heinsight i cant quite see where it came from but i did it none the less. Ended up moving carriages about four times but settled in a cabin with three boys from wimbledon, who told be about Dynamo agreb winning their qualifying game meaning Arsenal were to meet them in the next round. Good result.
i gota good sleep on the train and arrived in split at around 6am.
This might be a god point to mention that on the second to last day in Budapest there was a terrential downpour which caught me and kelly (a girl we met in Prague) completely soaking us. It turned the roads into rivers up to two feet deep. It was quite joke but left me carrrying around a soaked pair of shoes and walking in bare feet.
So after walking with a huge bag equipped with tent and the kitchen sink for three hours in split looking for the hostel i booked in Budapest, my patience was really tested.
I ended up running into a group of irish boys who were lacking in a place to stay as well and we linked up a lovely apartment for the 6 of us. Tv, kitchen, air con and three beds. Cosy.
We hit the beach that days which was lovely, soaking blistering feet and a tired body. hat night i went and met a brazilian chica we had met in Budapest and turned out 6 people cosy apartment closer to a bolivian prison.
The next few days consisted of going out at night to the only nightlife spot, a row of clubs on the beach, and sunbathing and swimming for any part of the day that we were awake for. I ended up also running into some other friends i met in Budapest, 4 irish girls. So surrounded by 8 irish people it was GRAND.
We left our accomodation (which the owner labelled as catastrophic) early on the fourth morning, i said goodbye to the boys and took a day trip to one of the islands about an hour away. It was beatiful and the weather was amazing. The sun was setting on the way back, which was incredible from the top deck of the ferry. A lovely end to a cool stay in Split.
I jumped on another overnight train to Zagreb to take advantage of my last day of my interail ticket.
So here i am, going to sleep in the train station tonight and fingers crossed find a ticket to the game tommorow.
NICK AND MARK EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT......
Im going to see rosiky.
Love to all.
