We caught the train to Strasbourg and arrived at about 10.30am, so we got some brunch before meeting Anne who came at about 12.30 to pick us up from the station with Miriam. It was so great to see her again, and kind of felt like no time had passed. She took us to the hotel she had generously booked for us and we were able to put our huge travel packs down before getting in the car and driving to Anne's apartment for lunch. Her apartment is seriously amazing. It has such a relaxing vibe as soon as you walk in with all rooms having a different pretty, girls theme. The balcony was the best, Buddha statues, plants and faux grass with comfy chairs, the perfect place to relax. We had a beautiful home cooked lunch which was so different for us. Anne and Miriam pretty much waited on us, so generous. They then took us for ice cream in Germany, which is just around the corner from Strasbourg. We had huge ice cream sundae type things which Anne generously bought for us, she's seriously too nice. She dropped us at the hotel after that to shower before dinner and thank god she did. Me and Bek had not washed our hair for at least a week as we'd been going to the beach everyday. It was disgusting. I felt so clean after. That night we drove to an authentic Alsasian restaurant to try the dish tart flambé. On the way we drove past my old school and house from when I lived in Strasbourg, it was so good to see them again! So many memories flooded back to me! The dinner was great too, so rich. The tart flambé is like a really thin pizza base with cream, bacon, onion and cheese ontop and we drank wine too so we were absolutely stuffed after dinner. We then drove to the amazing Strasbourg cathedral after dinner to see the summer light show there. The cathedral is huge and amazing. It was beautiful. We then headed off home to have a good sleep in our lovely hotel beds. The next morning we met Miriam at 10am and she took us into the city for lunch before she began work. I also went to get my phone fixed and ended up having to buy a whole new one. So annoying. The place we were meant to go for lunch was closed though so Miriam went off to work and me and the girls went shopping. We also decided to go out for dinner on a boat restaurant on the river running through Strasbourg which was lovely and we had amazing hamburgers. We remembered as we were eating that I told Anne I had a present for her (we thought we would have time to buy one the next morning and give it to her) so when she told us she was coming to the hotel to say goodbye we freaked out and had to quickly buy something. We ended up buying cake and a bottle of wine from a restaurant, oops. But I'm sure they appreciated it. Today, which was our last day in Strasbourg was primarily spent shopping. I went a bit overboard, but I needed to as I literally have no clothes left. So I bought 2 dresses and a top from hnm, a top from Zara, a pinafore, skirt and t shirt from some random place and lip gloss from the body shop. Lol bye bye money! Yolo. Anyway now were on the train home and we just got brought some beautiful food and cakes from Miriam! So lovely. I'm so full right now though omg. Anyway, that's all for now, yay I'm up to date. Probs left out heaps though. Anyway keep tuned xoxo Molly
