Finally blogging again. To be honest I have been way to lazy to blog as much as I should but in a attempt to make up for it, I'll try and make this one a long one. I remember the last time I blogged was just before our Harrods bus tour, which was an amazing day. We started by training to Harrods department store and then getting on the large green vintage Harrods bus. The seats on the top of the the bus were boiling and our bums were sweating the whole trip but it was totally worth it. We saw all the sights of London; Big Ben, London tower, London bridge, Saint Paul's cathedral, Westminster Abbey, London House of Parliament followed by a river trip down the Thames, then scones, champagne and tea at Harrods, it was amazing. After our tea and what not, we looked through Harrods, which we discovered was obviously for the rich and famous considering a cavoodle puppy from Harrods cost a casual 2000 pounds, and a dress we later found a casual 80,000 pounds. I almost vommed. Our next few days in London were quite relaxed. We left the day after Harrods, I'm missing quite a bit of stuff about London like the amazing burgers and sweet potato fries with bacon aioli we ate after Harrods, which was extraordinary. But aside from that I ceebs writing anymore about London, I'll post photos though. We then travelled to Barcelona which was exhausting because we had to be at gatwick airport at 6am for our flight and to get there we had to get 2 buses and an express train. The station was actually closed when we got there at about 2.30am, and wasn't opening until 3am so we had to sit/sleep out the front. By the time we actually arrived in Barcelona we were literally zombies. The arrival at our hostel was interesting also. 5 flights of stairs with our huge packs was an awesome way to lift our spirits and the revelation of the amenity lacking, dirty kitchen was icing on the cake. The location was really nice though, so whilst waiting for check in we explored a bit. To be honest i have no idea what we actually did, i was half asleep, so I'll skip to the next day. We woke up pretty late, so decided it was a beach day, so we caught the metro to the beach and slept and swam. It was a bit dirty but really refreshing. That night we met some lovely Australian girls at our hostel and we agreed to head out that night with them to an Irish pub. The pub was great and really cheap and they free poured their vodka which was awesome. After the Irish bar, the other girls wimped out and went home but me Alice and Bek went to another bar and danced/drank the night away. We tried our first sangria, it was really strong. We woke up the next morning quite late again, even though we were meant to sight see that day so we decided to go to the beach and see how we felt after. We ended up staying at the beach until about 4.30 and then we took a rickshaw (don't know how to spell it but a little bike thing) to an amazing park which we had never heard of. It was beautiful with a huge fountain and tap dancers having a dance battle. It was a great way to end the day. We went out for dinner that night with the girls from the hostel and some of their friends from Australia. Alice and Bek had seafood paella but I had pasta which was average. On the way home fireworks started right in front of us which was awesome. We left on the bus the next day to Valencia. The bus about was actually really good and we finally got to watch a movie, the inbetweeners movie. The bus ride went quickly and before we knew it we were at our new hostel in Valencia. The hostel was amazing, especially in comparison to our hostel in Barcelona. We settled into our 4 bed dorm nicely considering there wasn't a 4th person joining us. We went to the beach that day, which was really nice and pretty much just spent the day there. We decided to do the hostel pub crawl that night which turned out to be awesome! It didn't even start until 1.30am so we ended up getting home at about 6am. Epikkkk. We met lots of lovely people on the pub crawl, especially an American called Steven who was staying at the hostel and he partied with us all night. We woke up the next day at 3pm, oops. We decided we shouldn't completely waste the day so we went to the markets. I bought a ring, anklet, nose stud and got 1 braid in my hair. I had to speak french to the braid girl, who spoke no English. Good practise for me though! That night we all had microwaved popcorn, we've been missing it a lot! Mine burnt really badly and the kitchen was really smokey so we ran away to our room. We had to change rooms the next day because a 4 bed dorm wasn't available for our 2 extra nights, so we got up and lugged our bags downstairs and headed to the aquarium as we waiting for check in. The aquarium is in a newly built part of Valencia which looks out of place and really futuristic, but it's really amazing to see. The aquarium was great, apparently the biggest one in Europe. We saw beluga whales, seals, penguins and all types of fish. There was also a dolphin show which was awesome. We did some shopping on the way home and we all made a purchase for once! I bought a new bikini top which was a total bargain, 10 euro. I wore it today and unfortunately as I sit here, I'm looking a bit like a huge lobster. I got really burnt (don't kill me mum) at this beach we went to today, about 20-30 mins out of Valencia. It was really beautiful and the water temp was amazingly warm. But we all fell asleep on the beach and now me and Bek are lobsters and Alice is only slightly tinted red and I think I got stung by a jelly fish/giant ball of seaweed but no one believes me, even though I have a big red welt on my arm (well had) and literally put my hand on the jelly fish before screaming and jumping onto Alice. Anyway yay! I finished this blog. I probably should've written it on the 7hr bus ride to Valencia but I want to watch movies and sleep since we're going our tonight. Keep tuned xoxo.
